Looking at Crown 10/9

Hello All!

 

I just took a huge leap of faith and booked round trip airline tickets from Indy to LGA for this cruise. (10/9-10/18) - the thing is, I haven't booked the cruise yet (the non stop tickets were $178/pp - couldn't pass that up). I was just wondering when the price will drop (if it will drop) on this Crown cruise. It looks as though all room categories are still available and we are less than 60 days away. I haven't seen this price change at all since I started shopping for this cruise. Does anyone know if and when they will start dropping these prices?

I asked my TA this very question today when I paid for my MIL and SIL. She told me that the chances of the cruise dropping for those who purchase last minute aren't very good. But you never know. For us, when we booked last May for the Crown, our cruise price dropped 3 times since. For us, it pays to book early as it seems we always get price reductions. Usually you're price guaranteed. If your TA is good and watches the prices, they usually get you a price reduction if the cost for your category of cabin drops.

I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get any answer :( I was afraid of no price drop, but it is still a great price, so I can't complain! I'll keep my eyes on it!

When you finally do book, come join our roll call for 10/9/06. BTW, the prices dropped a few months ago...then seemed to creep back up.:( Good luck.
