newmike Posted August 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2006 We are sailing on Fantasy 9/16, which includes a stop at Half Moon Cay, a tender port. What is the procedure for disembarking by tender? Do we obtain reservation and/or tickets, and when is the best time to do that?

adbnva Posted August 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2006 tender means u do not dock @ the port. u r carried n on a small boat. usually if u have an excursion bookedu get off before it is open 2 everyone. they usually make any announcement that anyone can go ashore. by the way we will b on the fantasy 9/16. there is a roll call 4 a meet inboard. join us. Rare silentbob007 Posted August 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2006 If you have an excursion, you will probably be told to meet a certain place to get early tenders off. Otherwise, if you check the capers or listen to the announcements, there may be a meeting place set up to get tender tickets. After an hour or two, when the people who have hurried off have already left, they have open tendering when you just head for the door at your leisure. BAHAMAS BOUND Posted August 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2006 We will be in Nassau on our first Cruise. Sensation 9/21. Is this a tender port???
bcb241 Posted August 23, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2006 You will NOT have to tender in Nassau. When we were there a few months ago, the Sensation was docked right next to the street. You won't have to walk very far at all to be right in the middle of the shopping area. Just you and fifteen thousand or so of your new friends from all those other cruise ships! Enjoy Nassau:)
