SKeighley Posted August 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2006 How cold is it really during Feb. I am scheduled for a Feb 8 day curise on the Spirit out of NYC. Do you have to go outside during the muster if it is that cold and stand like you do out of Florida. This is my first NCL cruise out of NYC. I usually go out of Florida on Carnival . johnql Posted August 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2006 It won't be too different from where you are in MA. I sailed on the Dawn back in Feb 2004 and it was cold but not frigid. You need to be prepared for anything between 0° and 40°, not including wind chill. And yes, the muster drill was held out on deck.
SKeighley Posted August 24, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 24, 2006 I have booked a Feb 2007 cruise out of NYC. How cold is it in the harbor? and do you have to go out side to do the safety muster in the cold?
judyf Posted August 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2006 It's cold in the northeast in Feb. I'm sure shoreguy has a great picture to post for you. It's hit and miss could be below zero and could be 40-50's you never know. That's the fun of living here.
johnql Posted August 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2006 As Yogi would say, it's deja vu all over again (since you posted this same question in two different threads). So...here's a copy and paste of my reply from your first thread: It won't be too different from where you are in MA. I sailed on the Dawn back in Feb 2004 and it was cold but not frigid. You need to be prepared for anything between 0° and 40°, not including wind chill. And yes, the muster drill was held out on deck.
SKeighley Posted August 24, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Thanks for the answer. I will bring warm clothes for the muster. Can't hardly wait until its cruise time.
