Explorer of the Seas Grand Suite???

Recommended Posts

It has a DVD player for sure. The TV is kinda far away for viewing in bed, but its just barely exceptable for me. I will be on Explorer 9-8 in a GS. I also like to watch TV in bed. I wish I could have gotten an owners suite it has the big flat screen which pivots from the living area to the bed. Oh well, I guess I'll have to slum it...LOL

It looks lovely on paper but does anyone have first hand info on this room? I hope I won't be disappointed. Also does it have a dvd player and is the tv large enough to watch from the bed? Thanks for your help.

It IS lovely :)

Have been in a GS on AOS, BOS and ROS. They were all the same with the expection of BOS since we were in 1556 on the hump, which made it a tad larger. I have decent vision and never have had an issue of watching tv from the bed. The tv is about 12 - 15 ft from the head of the bed. The dvd works well. It has surround sound, sub woofer and all. You can get movies in the concierge lounge, although I would suggest bringing your own due to the fact the ones on board tend to be older movies. One odd thing is that the tv in a rotating table top table and when the ocean gets rough, the tv moves a bit. I have had to wedge paper in the "crease" to keep it from moving.
