rjms74 Posted September 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2006 I am thinking of booking a PG grade single cabin on the above cruise & would welcome any advice re whether to book this crossing sooner rather than later. I have been quoted a very good fare from a UK Travel Agent but am onboard the QE2 from 13 Sep & just wondered if it might be better to wait and book this crossing whilst onboard or re the limited availability for this single grade cabin if it is not better to book this now before I am back onboard, Kind Regards, RJMS74
captain_rad Posted September 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Check with Cunard to make sure that I am right, but go ahead and book now. Then check back with them from time to time to see if they come up with a better rate. If they do then just ask them to rebook you and you will get the lower rate. Good luck and have a great cruise. :) Raphael QE2 LA-Sydney 2006 QE2 NY-Sydney 2007
rjms74 Posted September 4, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Unfortunately in the UK if we rebook a cruise and or make changes to an exisiting booking it is considered either as a new booking & or amendment fee applies. They also use any excuse to say that once a booking is made they cannot reduce the fare already quoted & or being paid for!!! captain_rad Posted September 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Sorry to hear that. Rebooking is what Cunard in California told me to do. Captain Rad
