Bingo question

Could someone please explain how the bingo is run on the Legend. On a previous thread someone who had just returned from the Legend indicated that CCL charged her $10.00 per card.

1) Is that a single card, or a strip?

2) Is it used for one game, or one session?

3) How many games are played in the session?

4) How long are the sessions?

5) How big are the jackpots?

6) Is smoking permitted? (non-smoker)

7) Do alot of people attend?

Just back from the Legend 8/24-9/1

Could someone please explain how the bingo is run on the Legend. On a previous thread someone who had just returned from the Legend indicated that CCL charged her $10.00 per card.

1) Is that a single card, or a strip?

$10 for 1 card / $20 for a strip of 3 cards

2) Is it used for one game, or one session?

Most of the time it was good for only one game, but they ran specials where they could be used for 3, 5, 7 or 10 games within the session. I think they had a half price special where 3 cards cost $10 (only 1 time, though)

3) How many games are played in the session? see #2

4) How long are the sessions? 10-30 minutes depending on the type of special they are having

5) How big are the jackpots? Depends...it starts at $100 most of the time, but they'll have a 1 game session where the jackpot is $500. One game is also a cruise for 2 to any Carnival itinerary. Multi game sessions, the jackpot goes up starting from $100+

6) Is smoking permitted? (non-smoker) No...bingo is held in the Follies Lounge where smoking is not allowed.

7) Do alot of people attend? The lounge is not completely full at all, but there is quite a big group of bingo players. It also seemed to depend on the advertised jackpot, too. Make sure to read the Capers, it lists time, number of games, jackpots, etc.

One thing to add, you can buy Bingo cards with your Sail and Sign card if you do not carry cash with you. On the bigger ships, the pot is 1000.00 since there are more players. You can also by Scratch tickets for 1.00 a piece, and return the looser Scratch tickets with your name on the back for a chance to win a bottle of wine or champagne. They usually have a Coverall Jackpot on the last night and the Jackpot doubles if you get the Coverall within 50 numbers.

Do a lot of people attend?? Depends on what is going on in the show lounge following the bingo.

Bingo is played almost daily before the shows each night. It takes longer for them to sell the cards then the actual playing.

WHen the nightly shows are on the lounge can be quite full but a lot of people are not playing--they just came in to get a good seat.
