Paradise Point

I'm in need of opinions about Paradise Point. We're a family of 8 travelling with my parents (in their 80's). They have been to St. Thomas many times, but we're looking for something new.

Thanks for your responses in advance!

The view from Paradise Point is beautiful. We walked over to the tram from our cruise ship - watch out for traffic driving on the "other" side of the street! The tram ride up is about 10 minutes. You can spend as much or as little time at the top. There are shops and snack places. But the view of the harbor is just beautiful!

I agree. It is nice. There is a long flight of stairs from the ticket window to the tram and more stairs at the top to go to shops, restaurant, etc. Not sure if that is a concern for you or not. But it is great, views are beautiful, they had live music and a parrot show going on and reasonable souvenir shops. The restaurant was a nice spot for drinks and a snack. We were there in August and loved it. My memory may be failing, but I think it was $18 per person round trip - you can skip the tram and walk, but it is long, hilly, and hot!

Walk off the ship STRAIGHT AHEAD, hertz rental, get a van. The road beside hertz goes to Paridise Point. Van rental $75,then go see the rest of the island!:) or $18pp X 8= 124.00:( Maps comes with the vehicle, easy to get around, go where YOU want to, stop when YOU want to, stay as long or short as YOU want to.......... For me, it's the only way:D
