Are there any good beaches to snorkel at in Limon? We wanted to do the white water rafting, then hit a beach for a few hours.

Sorry, we did the Dole Banana Plantation tour, don't recall seeing any Beaches nearby.

dmarie69I am not sure you will have enough time to do both, If you want to go to the beach you should go to Playa Bonita, that is very close from the port, but is not good for snorkeling. If you want a good snorkle area you need to drive for 1 hour at least.

 

Best places for snorkeling are in the south area of Limon province, the colser place would be Cauhita, Puerto Viejo is good, Punta Uva is real good and Manzanillo is the best one. There is a Zip Line tour in manzanillo so it should be easy for you "2ports".

Does anyone know what companies run the white water rafting from Limon?

The problem with the rafting is that any company has a minimum of 6 passengers... since the raft needs 6 people.

 

Do you have 6 people intrested? if you dont then you better book it trough the cruise line.
