jima53 Posted July 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2004 approaching the 100 day mark until our cruise. Getting anxious to as questions about the Zaandam and it's crew and services. We have an S suite reserved, wonder if room service coffee is good or is there a seperate counter for Gourmet coffees and sweets. We don't use alcoholic beverages but do like a nice tasting coffee and sweets. Did you enjoy the afternoon appertizers in your room, and how was in room tea service. We cruise mainly to relax and enjoy the good food so let us know what to look for on this fine ship. Jim
WindyCity Posted July 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2004 Room service coffee is excellent - always comes HOT! If you order 4 or more cups, they bring it in a pot. Ordering breakfast the night before, using the card left in your cabin, really saves time - you give them a 1/2 hour window in which to deliver. We always had it come in time. In fact, since hubby order ham with his sunny side up eggs and son wanted scrambled with sausage & I preferred over easy with crispy bacon, we each got all 3 meats on the plate because they did not know which meat went with which eggs. Afternoon appetizers were ok. We only ordered them once and asked for hot - was sliced polish sausage and something else I can't remember - nothing to write home about. Never ordered afternoon tea.
