caribbean dreams Posted September 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2006 No, but you can ask your taxi driver to stop by a liquor store for you on the way to the port.
LHP Posted September 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I had never thought about this until someone else brought it up...in Texas, you can't buy liquor on Sunday. So if you have a Sunday sailing, make sure the State you are sailing from allows liquor sales on Sunday. I know many states do not allow it....not sure about Florida. In Florida you can buy booze on sunday, last cruise from Miami i ran to the liquor store down the street from the Hotel before we checked out to go to the ship. antcyd Posted September 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I thought you cant buy booze on a Sunday until 12 noon in Miami, you might want to check that out. I know its true here in Fort Lauderdale and am almost positive its the same in Miami.
NMCRUISER@AOL.COM Posted September 14, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted September 14, 2006 great point made as you can only buy beer & wine here in clev after 1pm on sun- also i'm getting my transfers through carnival- was hoping there'd be a shop in the airport or along the way in the terminal at the port- used to bring the splits in my carry on and i'd like to drink it before i get my luggage etc... still not too thrilled with having to pack it in checked luggage coming home....but it beats the high prices here and the sin tax....
