stired Posted September 24, 2006 #26 Share Posted September 24, 2006 Certainly. But whether it is a package tour, in its entirety, a shore excursion or a simple transfer package any potential participating shyster enterprises are usually weeded out by cruise company advance negotiations, investigations, specifications and/or negative experiences. This shouldn't stop people from making independent land tour arrangements. It just means you should do your homework on these boards and elsewhere to find reputable operators! It just means you should do your homework on these boards and elsewhere to find reputable operators! I totally agree with this conclusion. I continue to be amazed by how many people find some "deal" on the internet then assume it must be a great deal, from a legitimate operator, etc, etc when in reality anyone can easily and inexpensively create a nice-looking website. You need to do your homework or, if you are not willing or able to do that, then either use the cruiseline or a travel agent who you can rely on.
