caviargal Posted October 16, 2006 Author #26 Share Posted October 16, 2006 We just returned from a 7 night cruise on Voyager where we had same number of informal and CCC nights. Erring on the side of dressy is a better bet than the more casual khaki/sweater outfits. My husband wore a jacket every night. I wore cocktail dresses and dressy skirts for dinner each evening and felt very comfortable. There were a few people who were more casually dressed and were seated "in the back of the bus" -- interesting that we noticed that, but even my husband, who is oblivious to dress codes was not comfortable without at least a blazer at dinner! Hope this helps. Enjoy the cruise! Thanks for posting! That was my game plan and now I know I will be properly outfitted (great justification for some of my new outfits as well:)). For Signatures, did he wear a suit and tie? I hope you will be posting more about your trip...inquiring minds need to know!

Trevsmom Posted October 17, 2006 #28 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Yes, he did wear a suit and tie for Signatures! If I had to pack all over again, I would have packed more dressier clothes than I did -- I had to do a few "repeats" toward the end of the cruise! As to daytime wear, I was thrilled that I packed light weight capris and sweater sets, which were perfect as I was able to take the sweater off when it got too warm. That way, I didn't have to lug around a jacket. We were lucky though as the weather was gorgeous (high 70s/low 80s) in the daytime. As to our cruise, if you are interested in learning more about our trip and experience on the Voyager, I just posted a review of our trip under Ship Reviews. caviargal Posted October 17, 2006 Author #29 Share Posted October 17, 2006 As to our cruise, if you are interested in learning more about our trip and experience on the Voyager, I just posted a review of our trip under Ship Reviews. Your review says all 4 restaurants were open sitting dining yet I read that one must reserve Signatures and Latitudes prior. Which is accurate? thanks
curiouscruiser Posted October 17, 2006 #30 Share Posted October 17, 2006 You have to reserve Signitures or Latitudes, but you can reserve for whatever time and with whomever you want. It's not a "set" seating.
Trevsmom Posted October 17, 2006 #31 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Curiouscruiser is correct! Unlike Compass Rose and La Veranda, which do not require reservations, you have to have a reservations to dine in both Signatures and Latitudes. You can make your reservations in advance of your cruise (online at RSSC site - although I'm not sure how this is done) or the day you embark (which is what we did). Latitudes only has one set seating time, which I believe is 7:30PM. In this case, if they don't have a tables for 2 available, they will ask you if you mind sitting with other couples. We didn't mind sitting with others and were glad that we did as we met some wonderful people and had a good time! At Signatures, you can reserve whatever time works for you and with whomever you please! This was also a situation (Signatures) where we ended up sitting with other couples -- again, we lucked out and had wonderful dinner guests!
