dottedline Posted September 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2006 If I take my wireless laptop, can I get access in my room on the AOS? I heard about a 50$ charge, but is that for unlimited service from my room or is that in the internet cafe on their computer? (please don't laugh at me - I'm not exactly a comp tech!) :o

It is not likely that you'll get wireless reception in your cabin, there's only one RCL ship that is wireless throughout and that's Freedom. Take a look at the RCL sticky FAQ and it explains the pricing and access for Wi-Fi on RCL ships. Here's the link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=294633&page=3. Post #41. If you have to have in cabin service, there's a system called cyber cabin that's available first come, first served at the purser's desk. It's a device that hooks between the wall plug and the cabin phone, with a line going to the modem in your laptop. If you don't have a modem, it won't work for you. It's a dial up type connection, and is slower than watching grass grow, but it's one price for all you can consume, if I remember correctly about $100 for a one week cruise. If you have any more questions, just ask. Good luck.
