Mariner 2008 Eastern, no Coco Cay?

Anyone have any idea why Coco Cay got replaced by San Juan on the 2008 eastern sailings of the Mariner? It seems like San Juan is becomming a popular alternative stop to other places on the eastern carib cruises.

IMO, that would be such a bummer. Cocoa-Cay is wonderful. We are contemplating an eastern itinerary on the FOS next Sept. and its first stop is San Juan which is not very appealing to me. We are trying to decide between FOS and the Caribbean Princess. The itineraries are the same except instead of San Juan, Princess goes to its private island. If we base our decision on the itinerary, we will go with Princess.

 

I'm not sure why San Juan is showing up more frequently. I'm not saying it's a bad port. I just think there are better ones to go to.

We really like the private island beach days, so it would be a bummer not to have one. I just wonder why they decided to not have it?
