kickbutt10 Posted October 13, 2006 #26 Share Posted October 13, 2006 We were on the Adventure of the Seas in August 2006 (sister to Navigator) and just returned from Triumph on Oct 7th. I would choose Navigator in a minute over Triumph. Before the bashing begins, we did enjoy our cruise with Carnival but IMO Royal Carib. is a much nicer experience. I would say the only advantage Carnival had was the bedding which is currently being replaced on Royal. Everything else is a notch higher with Royal Carib. Don't let a small price difference make your decision like we did and you won't be sorry
Hebejeebe Posted October 13, 2006 #27 Share Posted October 13, 2006 if someone offered me a free cruise on the Destiny--I too would refuse. Have you posted a review yet? You always seem very easy going about problems on cruises. So if you disliked it that much I'm going to pay a lot of attention to your review. Hebejeebe Posted October 13, 2006 #28 Share Posted October 13, 2006 The Navigator is usually very expensive compared to the Triumph. If you go in January you might get a really good deal. I would try the Navigator and sail on Carnival when your cruise options are limited to higher priced times of the year.
jim+4 Posted October 25, 2006 Author #29 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Thank you all for your opinions. I chose to book on the Triumph for 1/27/07. I think I get more bang for the buck on Carnival. All those extras on the Navigator do not seem necessary, since it is just the wife and I. The extra sea day also is appealing in that we are looking to just get away and relax....and drink....and eat.....and......
