FLL to MIA hotel, best way????

Please HELP!!! We leave in less than 45 days, and we dont have airfare yet! :eek:

 

If we fly into FLL the Friday night before we cruise on Saturday, and we stay at the Sofitel (which we have ressies for already)

 

What is the best way to get to the hotel? Rental car or Taxi?

 

BTW there are 8 of us!

Rental car may be the most economical way, otherwise the shared shuttle service runs about $18 per person to your hotel.

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

Anyone know how much a taxi would run from FLL to the Miami area?

You could rent an 11 passenger van. This would allow you the room for all pax + luggage.

 

I am not sure of the cab fare but think it is in the $75 - $80 range. A shuttle runs about $18 per person.

Thanks I forgot that I rented a car from FLL to drop off at Avis downtown Miami!!!

Now I just have to get another car - since there are 8 of us, and that will be cheaper than either the shuttle or taxi!
