lucky white heather Posted September 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2006 We are not long off Century Sept.2 to 15th... at start of cruise (while not yet in the Med.) weather was what we expected at this time of year.... cooler but not really cold with odd days of sunshine. Once we reached Gibraltar and got into the Med. proper it was really quite warm..in fact on some days you had to wear shoes to walk to the pool as the surface was too hot for our bare feet! We actually got a tan sunbathing. Clothing wise...suggest you play safe ..take some easy stuff ....layer effect... t shirts with sweater you can take off when necessary, we wore shorts, some wore cropped pants, and sandals. Surprisingly warm we thought!
megabill Posted September 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2006 In the Med right now - just pulling out of Dubrovnik on the Miillennium. Weather in Dubrovnik and in Venice was warm in the sun, cool in the shade and a nice, relatively constant, breeze. Forecast for today was 74F/ 23C for the high. Last week it had rained a couple mornings (Rome and Naples, and just the mornings - by 9/10am it was clear or starting to clear) but still relatively comfortable otherwise. tom_uk Posted September 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Not on a cruise but was in Mallorca from September 17th to 22nd. It was pretty hot - temps into the 80s every day and approaching 90 on one day, clear skies & sunny most of the time, but nicely cooler at night. Daylight only 8am to 8pm now, of course. Great weather for sightseeing in the morning, and beaching during the hottest part of the day - 2:30 to 5pm or so.
