ZipLine Posted September 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2006 Hi everyone, I would like to have some feed back on the restaurants. Which ones are the best food, service, best times to book etc. Also when do we cruise by the volcano because I would not want to be eating dinner and miss out on that!! One more question have any of you prebooked your dinner reservations at any of the Hotels in Oahu offering NCL this service? Eg. Marriott, Sheraton Princess, or Radisson. Or can you only booked once you get on board and which way is best... through your TV or at the desk?? whew... Thank you, look forward to your replys
lindajeff Posted September 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2006 I won't comment here on the food - see my review. As answered on another post, the Kilauea sail by starts a little after 9 and lasts about an hour. We stayed pre-cruise at Marriott and were never offered the option of making our onboard dinner reservations by them. Of course, their computers were down so we didn't get our embarkation cards either. Despite that slight hiccup, staying at the Marriott Waikiki Beach on Sunday night and not having to even think about moving luggage from hotel to ship on Monday was the best thing that we did. Note that in order to use this service you need to book the room thru NCL, by way of whatever TA you used to book the cruise in the first place. hncg57c Posted September 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2006 The food and service at Papa's Italian Kitchen was pretty good. After we got on the ship and ate lunch, we went to make reservations for that night. The only time that was available for us was 9:30 at night. I guess you have to get on the ship ASAP and make reservations right away. This is the only specialty restaurant we went to.
