Do we tender in Jamaica?

I have so enjoyed these boards & have gotten such great info. I just can't remember reading anything about tendering in Jamaica. We have booked an excursion through Barrett Adventures (another great tip from this board) and they'd like us off the ship as early as possible. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

Nope you don't tender in Montego Bya. I suggest being up early to watch the ship dock quiet a site to see actually. You do tender in Grand Cayman and Cozumel though.

Gazing, the OP is cruising on the Conquest, they will be in Montego Bay and will be docking in that port.

Been to Mobay and Ocho Rios a number of times and we never tendered ashore.

There are apparently now 2 piers open (one apparently JUST opened)... the Carnival pier (Puerto Maya) is still about at least 18 months from being opened... we'll know in 2 weeks if we tender or dock. We are only there with one other ship, so I'm hoping we dock.

 

And no, you don't tender in Mo Bay as mentioned...
