Difference between Stingray City and Stingray Sandbar?

Is there a difference between the 2? If so can you tell me what the difference is and which is better?

In a nutshell, Stingray City is the original and is for divers or snorkelers. Years later, they developed the Sandbar location where you stand and wade with the stingrays.

 

Most tours go to the sandbar, however, a number of the vendors call their tours Stingray City tour, which adds to the confusion. Always good to confim where your tour is going.

We have been on the sandbar tour and loved it. The water is waist to chest high only.
