htmlll Posted July 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2004 My husband, 8 yr old son and I are sailing on the Golden in Sept. While in St Thomas I want to do the "St Thomas sailboat & Snorkel Adventure", you sail to Buck Island Turtle Cove. My husband wants to do the "New waves Castaway Snorkeling" you take a catamaran to Great St James and to Whistling Cay. He thinks that the sailboat will bounce around and we might get sick. I disagree. Can any body help us decide which one to take, which one would our son enjoy? You all are wonderful help! Thank You! htmll
spongerob Posted July 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2004 A catamaran will bounce around just as much as a regular sailboat. Maybe more so, in fact. The boat being used shouldn't influence the decision.
cruzfiend Posted July 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2004 We've been on both types of boats, and they rock the same.

But after I read your reply to a similiar question on the "Ports of Call St Thomas" I booked the "St Thomas Sail and Snorkel Adventure". I think it is going to be a great day. Thank you for your help!!!!!!!! htmlll

GloriaF Posted July 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2004 We did a Sail & Snorkel ship excursion in Cozumel. I know it isn't the same one, but thought my experience might help somehow. It was a large double decker catamaran, and was great fun. There was music and dancing, and comp margaritas and beer (soda, too) after the snorkeling; also a visit to a private beach. I think you will be fine with either you choose.
