I think it would be very interesting to see what everyone has done with their reservations that were cancelled. My Nov. 25, 07 sailing was cancelled. The bummer for us was we checked our messages while on vacation only to find out next year's vacation was cancelled. Reading the boards helped alot to find out what was happening. It seems that different persons were offered different things. We opted to cancel and not rebook. What did you opt to do?

We were already booked on the April 6th, 2008 Voyager sailing - which falls into the offered OBC booking period.

The rep told us that we could not transfer the OBC because that needed to be done under the Rhapsody's booking number.

I told the rep I would cancel and rebook the Voyager, using the Rhapsody's booking number then, if that was the case. :p

The rep said "hold on".

The rep came back and said "okay, we'll transfer the OBC to your existing reservation number." :D

We also rebooked the Rhapsody for Aug 19 2007 sailing. It's a month earlier, but we are flexible.

Cancelled and rebooked earlier Rhapsody cruise (Aug 26th, 2007). We knew of the cancellation two days before we sailed on the AOS, so we cancelled and rebooked on the ship for $100 OBC, applied our $150 coupon, and got an additional $100 discount for Platinum Balcony credit. We had a larger cabin at a lower cost for our cancelled 9/9/2007 cruise. It was a bummer to have to drop a category (GS to JS) just to get near the price we originally had.

We were booked on the 11-25-2007 Rhapsody Cruise when RCI decided to cancel it. We had booked an OS on the Rhapsody but the prices on the Voyager for the same category were almost double. So we ended up booking a JS and taking our $400.00 OBC. We are still unhappy about the way RCI handled it and would much rather be sailing on the Rhapsody. We will try the Voyager and see.
