terrybiz Posted October 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2006 My husband and I just book Carnival Liberty for May 26, 2007, 8 nights to the Eastern Caribbean. What side of the ship do you suggest will get the best views, right now, we have port side, the left.

pshaze Posted October 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2006 We were on the port side in March for the 8 day eastern. In FLL, we looked out into the port/water. We watched several ships leave before us. In San Juan we sailed by the Fort and got beautiful photographs. We docked and were looking at the pier and San Juan. In St Thomas we docked at Crown Bay and were looking at the Port/Water. Not much to see at this port because it is away from the city. You had to take a taxi or bus into St. Thomas. In Antigua we looked at the pier and city. In Tortola we looked at the pier and city. In Nassau we backed into port and we looked at another ship/pier but the gangway back onto the Liberty was on our side. But coming in we looked out at the ocean and lighthouse. So I guess it depends on what you want to see. We liked watching everyone coming back to the ship, especially the late ones!
Cruzman Posted October 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2006 There is absolutely no way to know for sure. At some ports, the ship may dock bow first, but then the ship may back in instead. I suppose the port authority makes that determination.
mrleo33 Posted October 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2006 To tell you the truth it didn't matter because we were never in our rooms anyway except to sleep and would go up top where the view was exceptionally unobscured. Honestly its beautiful from anywhere on the Liberty.
dan40 Posted October 8, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Left side, right side, pointy part, or blunt end, all OK. Stay away from the wet part. Dan
