I was recently informed that Princess is no longer printing tickets. Does anyone know anything about this? Apparently you have to print your own boarding pass from Princess' website or something?

Personally, I like it, but my wife is upset that she will not have the souvineir ticket for her scrap book.

You can print off as many copies as you would like from the Princess website. I did notice that there is now a message under that option that says that boarding passes are not available to print until 75 days prior to the cruise. That will clear up some of the confusion for those that they were not showing up for.

News Letter From TA today: (Old news, but new release)

QUOTE: Princess will be the first cruise line to convert entirely to electronic ticketing. E-ticketing will be in effect for most Princess cruises departing on and after November 17, 2006, and for Golden Princess cruises beginning with December 16 sailing.

The biggest advantage for passengers? Electronic tickets may be obtained as early as 75 days prior to departure, whereas mailed documents have generally been delivered within the two weeks prior to sailing.

Soon after a reservation has been paid in full and pre-cruise immigration information has been completed, passengers will have access to their boarding pass and cruise details online 24/7. In addition, passengers who ask an agent to make air travel arrangements through Princess will also have the ability to view their air schedule online as early as 75 days prior to travel, instead of the 30 day industry standard.

Online cruise documents will include a personalized travel summary, itinerary, special requests information, important notices, packages and transfers, shore excursion and spa pre-reservations, and a new boarding pass to be printed out and used for check-in. Passengers with suite accommodations or Platinum and Elite level members of Princess "Captain's Circle" program will receive a Preferred Boarding Pass to be used at the Preferred Boarding check-in desk at the pier.

Passengers without internet access can obtain a travel summary and boarding pass directly from their TA. Princess still plans to mail pre-cruise documents, which include a welcome letter, passage contract, Princess Travel Care Insurance details (when applicable), and luggage tags to all guests, 75 days prior to departure.QUOTE.

Some or all of this may be old news, but it arrived from a TA today, so thought it might help some.
