ymelancon Posted July 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2004 I've noticed several members have digital countdowns in their threads regarding how long till they cruise. I'm new to this site and still learning my way around in it. How do I start my own countdown?
Auburn Tigers Posted July 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2004 Go here first http://www.geocities.com/quietman01970/maker.htm Then click on code maker at the bottom right of page. dms_cruisers04 Posted July 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2004 Okay Awsmrn, almost there. Edit Options, Thread Display Options, check all three boxes, Show Signatures, Avatars & Images, and that should do it.
ymelancon Posted July 16, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted July 16, 2004 I followed your instructions to the letter, but when I test the signature I get a box with no pix in it and http://. But no countdown clock. Do you know what the problem is??
ymelancon Posted July 16, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted July 16, 2004 What???? Could you explain the instructions in more detail. Thanks! Plus, how do you get your countdown clock to scroll across the page?
dms_cruisers04 Posted July 16, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2004 ymelancon, when you test your clock, does it end up looking like awsmrn's? Until">http://escati.linkopp.net/cgi-bin/countdown.cgi?trgb=000000&srgb=00ff00&prgb=800080&cdt=2004;09;06;16;00;00&timezone=GMT-0600">Until I Cruise If so, go back into UserCP, click on the EditOptions link and in the Thread Display Options box on that page, check the Show Signatures, the Show Avatars and the Show Images box. Those need to be on to have the clock show, instead of just the html script. If you can get that to work, then you add <marquee> to the front and </marquee> to the end. Good luck. serene56 Posted July 16, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2004 AWS; lets correct your clock. open your user CP and lets fix it. put a space between your word UNTIL and your clock...its reading it as one whole word. take out the ". before the HTTP and add (include the bracettes) do not forget to save at the bottom and it should work perfectly. I'll create the code for you and email it to you if you'd like. Just email me (click on my name and choose public profile).

BottledRed Posted July 18, 2004 #15 Share Posted July 18, 2004 I've just emailed you the code. I assumed you were sailing out of New Orleans, so if you are sailing out of a different port, just let me know (it will change the time zone).
