Sen Posted October 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Hi, as some of you know, I will be on the Star next month. I know about chocolate night. I wanted to know what would be the best desert for me to try? Anything but Creme' brullete. And I love chocolate.

Toyz711 Posted October 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2006 if they are changing the menus, they might not have them...but some of the crepes were very good, especially the orange crepe. but i liked the creme brulee. i didn't care for any of the cakes i tried on the buffet, but then have never had a good cake on any cruise. i really like the baked alaskan on "northern lights" night in the main dining rooms. the chocolate obsession at cagney's was excellent. the biggest hit of the cruise of the cookies at the blue lagoon. you can just walk thru and pick up a couple when ever you like. DH loved the banana bread.
shoreless Posted October 19, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2006 My favorites were the poached pear in the Soho room and some sort of strawberry rhubarb thing in Endless Summer. With the new menus I don't know if they still have them.
immargaret Posted October 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2006 The pound cake was always available at Blue Lagoon and I couldn't resist getting a piece or two every time we walked through that area. There was a dessert in the main dining room one evening last Feb. called chocolate salami......it was excellent. Loved the chocolate fondue at Le Bistro and the Chocolate Obsession at Cagneys. star7228 Posted October 20, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2006 I think there was a passion fruit cheesecake available, can't remember if it was in Ginza or Endless Summer. I haven't had a better cheesecake since (that was in 2003!), and I am cheesecake-a-holic. :D
brunolvr Posted October 20, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2006 If you see "Chocolate Souffle w/Bailey's Irish Cream Sauce" on the menu in Versailles or Aqua, make sure to order it. It was delicious!:D
