kalypso333 is Kip & Ken. He's just shy jk - . btw, I too have felt that the entertainment on this cruise is not up to it. Having been a 1st time RSVPer with the Mexican cruise and after having seen the schedule that David gave us, I now realize I know virtually no more this time than the last - and last time I had an incredible time. I'm sure this will be no different.

Hey Dean and Rick - Welcome!

Tim and Rick - I'm very excited, like this is a first cruise. So you must be 10 feet off the ground :)

Since many of us want to do bingo, and it's fun to do it with people...and there's a lounge near by, why don't we meet there an hour or so before bingo? Crooner's Bar right off the main atrium, Promenade deck.

So 3pm - Tradewinds bar, above the main pool on sunday with Tom

And before bingo at Crooner's on Monday...

That should give everyone a chance to meet.

Do those of you on the Panama/Costa Rican cruise last winter remember at Bingo that there were two groups, the bunnies (with pink bunny ears) and the blinkies (with blinking visors)? Bob and I were two of the blinkies. Our group of 10 is down to just 4 this year. That would be cool to meet beforehand and then sit in a group so we can root for each other to WIN.

The only problem with the Monday meeting is that we are invited to another cocktail party at 4 p.m. sponsored by our travel agent, Dan Howell. Maybe that will change. There are many conflicts throughout the cruise that I am going to have problems with. (I know that's not proper sentence structure, but it's late),.

Tim...that was a great compilation of names on this board. I've been trying to keep track and writing down notes, also. Next we need cabin numbers.

Janet & Maria...I was just talking tonight to a lesbian couple we know and trying to convince them to join an RSVP cruise. They think they would enjoy it more than an all women's cruise, but they're not yet ready to commit yet. Maybe next year!

Welcome to the fold, Dean and Rick!

That's over 45 people, and I know there are more lurking around and reading and not posting. I am going to ask RSVP if they can schedule us in the daily schedule. In the mean time, if anyone wants to be added/updated/etc to our list - speak up :) (And my apologies if I missed anyone!)

So, once again, we plan on trying to meet and greet:

Saturday night - pre-cruise - Cubby Hole, 823 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33304 (954) 728-9001

Sunday - boarding day - 3pm until Muster drill - Tradewinds Bar, Sun Deck (16), above main pool area. Tom will be holding court. I will be sure to wear my lovely blue "Cruise Critic" baseball cap. I suggest if it is raining (not being a downer, it happened on Westerdam last year) we use Outriggers on the back of the ship as a back up (it's covered).

Monday - 2pm until bingo - Crooner's Bar, Promenade deck (7), right off atrium. Bingo starts at 3:30 in the theatre. I am happy to bring a Sharpie and blank name tags. :) And we can have a drink there after bingo, too. (Max, you can meet us before the TA event at 4 )

In St. Maarten - many of us are planning on Orient Bay Beach, either in the morning or around noon. Max if you know which bar/beach area is the best one to congregrate at - fill us in.

At least 4 of us are doing the 8:30 America's Cup 12 meter challenge.

In St. Thomas - there's a large group lead by our fearless Max on the 8:15 eye opener Champagne Catamaran cruise.

Ralph and I are doing the Atlantis Sub at 10am

Tim and Rick were leaning towards Coral World

Cabin is D-711 (lucky number, hope it helps in the casino)

it's an insided cabin. we're going to decorate the door with pix of our babies.......2 cats and a dog. and maybe a campy pic or 2 of us on the last cruise. are any of you decorating your doors? it's a big deal on these cruises............the stuff you see will make you laugh out loud..........

and it makes it easier to find your way home, deep in the night,

after 1 too many cocktails..............LOL

I've never been to Orient Beach before, but from my "research" Pedro's Beach Bar seems like a good location. It is by a major taxi dropoff and is on the end of the beach near the nudist resort. If you are facing the water, it is all the way on the right side of the 1 1/2 mile long beach. Here is there website with other information: http://www.sxm-orientbeach.com/pedros/index.html

Another place nearby is the Pirate Beach Bar & Grill: http://www.sxm-orientbeach.com/pirate/index.html

How wonderful to see all the new posters! Welcome! This is a fun group!

Matt, thanks for adding the cabin numbers you are the best! After all the upgrades I lost track of that as well. We are in C608 now after our last upgrade. Rick asked me last night what cabin and I couldn't remember without looking!

Rick is going on the ATV Adventure in St. Martin and I am doing the Dutch / French tour which allows me to be touristy. Then most likely we will try to meet you all at Orient Beach. In St. Thomas we are doing Coral World Helmet Diving.

Until then? I shall continue to go insane with excitement and chat with you wonderful people.

Welcome welcome welcome all new arrivals.

So almost50 Cruise Critic Passengers! What a presence we will have. Hopefully Matt can convince RSVP to list our gathering in the schedule. I updated the list with the changes that have been mentioned over the las few posts as well as some logical guesses on the unnamed at the end of the list.

Tim- I am scheduled for the ATV excursion as well. I'll keep an eye on Rick for you.;) Seriously though, I would be interested in sharing cab fare over to Orient Beach after the excursions.

Christopher, I wish you luck. I gave up trying to keep an eye on him a long time ago!:o Seriously, I wish he would have joined in this board so you all could get some idea of who he is as well. I of course can't say enough good things about him but I'm biased. He's a bit of a daredevil so you all will have a wonderful time on the ATV adventure.

We would be glad to share a cab with you to Orient Beach to meet the group.

is orient beach a gay/nude beach?

we have that here in fort lauderdale, so it's no big deal to us, but they say the beach itself is very beautiful. if anyone is just going to get off the ship and head to that beach for a while, we'd be happy to split transportation as well. i don't think it's something we need to book through the ship...........

early morning would be best before the sun gets too "killer" high and sunburning begins......that would leave the afternoon for shopping.....<g>

That does look fun! There is just too much to do to pack it all into one trip. I say we refuse to leave the ship until they take us on a second run.

Just a thought on the directory, but if everyone would like to email me a picture I'll be glad to put together a .pdf document we can all print or view. thyatt@sejumc.org

Hey everybody,

Paul J. Williams aka Sister Helen here. Really looking forward to being on the cruise with everyone and sure appreciate the kind words about Bingo. Or, as Sister Helen would say, "What a blessing!"

It's nice to see everyone say such nice things about Amy & Freddy as well. They are truly fabulous. I recommend Mark Alan Smith too....he's an amazing vocal impressionist.

Add me to the room list and would love to come to a CC gathering if I'm not hosting something else at the same time.

Happy Saturday everyone! How cool that our list has grown. And welcome Mr. Williams - I love church bingo. We met last year on the first week of the Westerdam because you used to work at a store with my friend Jonathan years back (he and his partner Steven were with our group).

Nick at RSVP replied to my email today asking me to call him and talk to him about adding us to the schedule, so I will keep you all posted.

Dave - Orient is a nude beach, if you want it to be... you know the French are much more relaxed about such things :) But it is a very developed beach, too..so there are plenty of bars to get in out of the sun while enjoying the view.

Tim and Rick - what a great idea, thanks for doing that.
