Can someone please tell me about the cab situation at the Tampa terminal? Will we be able to just get a cab back to the airport or do we need to reserve a ride in advance? Also what about rides from a Tampa hotel to the terminal? Does anybody have any reccommendations? Thanks for any info.

SOme hotels have free shuttle service from the airport. Check the indiviual hotel and see what your hotel offers.

When your flight lands-- grab your luggage and go outside. There will be plenty of taxis available.

Yes, there are lots of cabs in Tampa. Cabs at the airport, cabs at the pier. And if you aren't at either of these locations a cab is just a phone call away.

Happy Cruising and welcome to Tampa!

Cabs are everywhere at the cruise terminal and airport. We spent the night before so we took the hotel's shuttle from the airport. But from cruise terminal to the airport it was $19 for 3 of us. We tipped him around 10 or $15 because of all our bags. The cost for the Carnival shuttle was $30 a person I think and then you still ofcourse tip them $1 to $2 a bag just like with the taxi. So you save to use the taxi.

That's my concern also. There are only 4 of us, but it looks like we're going to have plenty of luggage. Can 4 people AND all that luggage fit into ONE cab?

Thanks for all the replies. We will be staying in Tampa the night before and were quoted $11 per person from the hotel to the pier by Bay Shuttle which seemed a bit much especially since they also quoted us $83 for 11 of us from the pier to the airport.

Don't know about the cabs in Tampa but we have taken cabs from the cruise terminal to the Miami airport and there was enough room for 4 people and their luggage.
