traveladdicted Posted October 30, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 30, 2006 Hi DireFun2000, I'll be on the Victory in a few day and I'm just wondering how you enjoyed your cruise? Any tips or hints about the Victory? We're doing Costa Maya, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. Were you on the same cruise? Thanks!!
jgknascar Posted October 31, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 31, 2006 Talked to my PVP last week and she said the Victory is in Drydock 2007 not 2006. Calendar is screwed up. We're on her in February - Western Caribbean.

thepeach Posted November 1, 2006 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2006 Hi DireFun2000, I'll be on the Victory in a few day and I'm just wondering how you enjoyed your cruise? Any tips or hints about the Victory? We're doing Costa Maya, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. Were you on the same cruise? Thanks!! We just got off the Victory on Sunday. She is a beautiful ship, the staff were very friendly, and the food was great! We stayed in 7278, and our room steward was Herman of Costa Rica (he was wonderful!!). Our waiters were Roberto from the Philippines (very nice, great dancer, and very funny) and Tatiana from Belarus (very nice and funny also). If the roasted chicken is on the menu, get it-it was the best roasted chicken I have ever had in my life. The filet mignon was excellent, as well as the shrimp. If you like lamb, it was excellent also. The best dessert is the chocolate melting cake and cappuchino pie. Our cruise director was Malcolm in the Middle. He's from New York, and was hilarious! The entertainment was great also. We were suppose to go to Costa Rica, but there was a riot, so we diverted to Ocho Rios. We went on the spice factory/pottery factory/ruins tour. It was excellent. If you go on this tour, be sure to buy your spices at the factory-they were a bargain ($2.00 compared to $7-$8 in the stores). Have a great time! You will LOVE the Victory!
