panam22 Posted October 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2006 I'm new to this site - but have been "taking notes" for the last couple of weeks of everyone's great suggestions. I've booked JS cabin #9314 on Mariner of the Seas for next May - I selected that cabin as I had read great reviews of cabins on the hump! But I keep thinking what about the elevator noise? The elevator is directly in front of my door - but the doors are facing in towards the center of the ship - not directly opening up and dispersing passengers into my room right? What do ya'll think? LAKaye Posted October 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2006 Relax. The door to your stateroom is on a hallway; a few steps away, the hallway has a doorway to an open area. The elevators are off of this open area, the staircases are there too. The elevators will not affect you at all---except for how handy they will be! :) Bon Voyage~~ Leslie
