You went to both Brooks Falls and Annan Bay? Which did you like better?

Awesome. Thank you for sharing. What dates were you at Katmai & Anan? Were most of the bears at Katmai. I'm hoping to go next year.

We were at Brooks Falls June 29th

Annan Bay July 6th. Both times are earlly in the season. But the Salmon were running. Peak time is mid July to mid August.

I shoot with a Nikon D70s I used Nikon's 70-300mm ed and Nikon 18-70dx.

Both are great. You will have a great time. Hard to describe what it is like being that close to such an awesome animal.

Your photos are fantastic! I see you used a DSLR camera. Was it a pain to switch between the two lenses? I have a DLSR and a compact, will probably take both, but not sure how convenient it'll be to switch out lenses on the DSLR.

It is a little bit of pain to change lenses.

But at the falls the 70-300 is all you need for the most part.
