stuNYC Posted November 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2006 I haven't been on Celebrity for a while and forget what the difference is between "casual" and informal means for men. Do I have to bring a sport jacket.
motherchic Posted November 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2006 For casual evenings a coat is not necessary but you will use it for the semi-formal eves
Cathy Maneri Posted November 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2006 On Celebrity for men. Formal night: Tuxedo or dark suit is fine. Informal night: Sports jacket with dress slax and shirt (tie optional). Or just a nice dress shirt and dress slacks. Casual: Dockers and casual long-sleeve or short-sleeve shirt. I see more Caribbean type shirts on this night. Sorry no jeans. Keep in mind if you want to go to the Specialty restaurant on the ship they want the men to wear a jacket even if it's a casual or informal night in the main dining room. osiebosie Posted November 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2006 We didn't bring a jacket for informal nights, and it was fine. DH and SIL both wore nice slacks, dressy shoes, shirt and tie, belt, and looked very put together. We saw several men without jackets, some with jackets and ties, some with jackets and no ties, and, of course, ties and no jackets. Cathy hit it right on the head for casual nights.
