Ocean Spirit Posted November 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Has anyone taken the Mokihana Helicopter tour (not the air & land tour)? Last night NCL site listed the cost as $189 today it is $210. We have someone in our party that is over 250 pound. On the other helicopter tours it is stated about the extra cost. They only list level 1 (no symbol for wt. ) I'm curious if they provide earphones with music. (I know Jack Harter does) Any input will be appreciated. fin Posted November 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2006 For weight and balance purposes, the FAA (quite wrongly it seems) assumes that the 'average' flyer weighs 170 pounds. Doubtless they will need to update their regs as time goes by.
Retired not Expired Posted November 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2006 They do give you headphones so the pilot can talk to you. The only problem I had with them is they put six people plus the pilot in something meant for five total. Four of us jammed across the back seat built for three. I have a bad back and could not moved even my legs and was in a lot of pain. Take that in consideration. Can you sit without being able to move for about an hour. Otherwise, it was a breath taking trip, so many waterfalls.
