sunlove Posted November 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I'm taking my family (husband and two daughters ages 14 and 11) on our first cruise and am not sure what to do at the Belize City port. I really wanted to go to Caye Caulker but am having a time trying to figure out if there is a nice beach that will keep the kids busy enough or if the island is small enough that we could wonder around and entertain ourselves. I thought about the Slip but am afraid the current may be too much for the kids? Any help or beach suggestions would be welcome
Cruisin' Patty Posted November 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Go to the ports of call page, you'll get good answers there. We rented a golf cart, SO MUCH FUN, and went up to the city of Mahjual, very nice, but, very small. Beautiful people, good food, AND a gorgeous beach. 7SeasLover Posted November 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Cave Tubing! Great fun! Would do it again in a heartbeat and we're OLD.
LHP Posted November 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Cave Tubing with Yhonney seems to be the number one choice of "things you must do in Belize". This is an independent tour (not a ship tour) and I think it runs around $50.00 a person which is very reasonable. Good luck!!
