Huck Finn Posted November 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I have a group on the Grandeur leaving New Orleans on December 30. Anybody been on an excursion in Costa Maya and/or Georgetown that they would strongly recommend? Age ranges from 16 to 45.
Sheffie Posted November 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2006 In Costa Maya we went on an independent excursion to the Mayan ruins with David and Ivan. They had been highly recommended here on CC, and their reputation was well deserved. In GC we went on the Buccaneer for a wonderful time with the stingrays and snorkeling. You can check out my photos for pictures that we took on those excursions. You can also check out these two ports if you go to the dropdown box at the bottom of this page and go to "Ports of Call." That is where I find information for our excursions.
hstrybuf Posted November 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2006 We took a snorkel and stingray tour with Capt. Marvin's in GC. Great tour!
Rare VernRDH Posted November 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Captain Marvins in GC is an excellent choice, as the previous poster mentioned. I have not done the tour with Ivan and David, but have only heard good things about it. Good luck and have a great trip!!
Huck Finn Posted November 16, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Years ago, we toured the ruins at Tulum. I would imagine that those ruins are similar to the ones outside Costa Maya. Are there any alternatives to the ruins tour that anyone would recommend while in Costa Maya?
