We appreicate all answers in advance!!!!!:) 1 - weather is great and the water is still warm from the heat of the summer. 2 - there is a formal night, and this will get me in hot water with the some of the CC board members, but we just ignore them, as do alot of others. On a four night cruise we pack really light, plus it's mighty difficult to take a formal night seriously when there's giant characters running around the ship. We always wore nice clothes; no jeans, shirts with collars, maybe a sport coat but thats it.
mom x4,grandma x4 Posted November 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2006 I agree with the above poster even though it says formal night most stay casual., I wear a regular dress and hubby wears slacks and a nice shirt with a mickey tie. One night is now a pirate dress or tropical dress. That night you will see some pirate costumes, some pirate t-shirts and everyone is given a bandana to wear and keep. Ohters will wear flowered ****s and khakis and dockers. Basic rules they have is No shorts and No tank tops in the dining rooms. collared shirts for men. Lots of women wear slacks and a nice blouse. The Wonder is very casual!! we have done 8 or 9 on the wonder and several on the Magic. The Magic is a little more dressy, but still tends to be casual compared to other cruise lines. There are so many kids it is pretty hard to be very formal. People are not going to spend big bucks for kids formal wear. Just to wear once or get something spilled on it. relax and enjoy!!! mom x4,grandma x4
S.S.Oceanlover Posted November 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2006 went on this cruise on the Wonder in August. There was no formal night. 2 casuals, 1 pirate night, and one night was dress up night where they asked for jackets to be worn. Not many were including myself. Texas Ranger Posted November 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2006 For the best view of fireworks go to deck 10 and the right side of ship. This is after the pirate party.:)
