Hotel in Amsterdam

Can any of you recommend a nice hotel in Amsterdam, I and my partner will be there next spring, and wanted something nice, not over priced but nice, that is near everything. I would appreciate your input.

Try Priceline. I got a room at the Movenpick hotel in Amsterdam for about $100 a night. It's a brand new 4-star hotel. It's about a 12 mins walk from Central Station. Some people think a 12-minute walk from Central Station is too much.

When we were in Amsterdam a couple of years ago we stayed at the Hotel Toren. It was a nice hotel, not to big. Nice rooms. Not fancy but nice. Great location. It is right around the corner from the Anne Frank House and was close to everything. It is right on one of the canals.

 

It has a small bar in the lobby and a room where breakfast is served.

Try Banks Mansion. A group of us stayed there two years ago and loved it. The rooms were great. Small but very clean and well layed out. They have an open-bar lobby each evening and breakfast each morning. The hotel is located on a main canal and many rooms have views.
