sblois Posted November 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2006 We have friends travelling with us this time and they want to be across the hall from our ocean view room on deck 2. When they booked their inside stateroom, they were offered an upgrade to deck 8 but turned it down to be on our deck. Should they get an on-board credit in lieu of the upgrade? DqALEX Posted November 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2006 IM not sure, but I think you only get a credit if the price goes down. If the price went down IM 100% sure you get and OBC. You have to call you T/A or carnival PVP and let them know, they just won't credit you.

It depends on the promotion at the time. If they had an Upgrade Special....they entitled to an upgrade & no OBC. Only whoever they booked with can tell them what the Promo offer was. ROPD184 Posted November 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Yeah just tell em to call their PVP or TA and ask if their room price went DOWN..if the price for the individual roomwent down...then they can get the difference in OBC...if NOT, and it was just a special Upgrade only Promo...then thats all they get...sounds like they are pretty good friends to turn down the upgrade to stay close to you guys huh?
