First time cruiser wants ideas & information

Hello,

We are going on our first cruise a 4 day one to try a cruise out.

We stop at Nassau for an entire day and an entire day on Cococay.

We are not that interested in shopping or Alantis.

We want to relax and enjoy the beach but want to be close enough if we get hungry we can walk back to the ship.

What beach do you suggest in Nassau?

Also we heard about a dolphin encounter - we considered doing that for the 10:30 a.m. time slot since we port at 7:00 a.m. Any ideas where to do this and how far is it from the ship?

We also plan to hang around and snorkel in Cococay - Any suggestions where and what to do?

Any helpful information and tips would be helpful.

We never made it to Nassau due to hurricane Jeanne. But I would suggest going to the official Bahamas website. I don't have the URL handy, but it should be easy to find. Read up on what's there and they might even have a "contact us" section where you can e-mail them about their country. Good luck and have fun.
