NYC Pier Entrance

Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where the entrance is to the NYC Pier for the Norwegian Dawn? I know it's on 12th Avenue, but what street number?

the street number is 711 12th avenue but that doesn't help you. The entrance to the piers is at 54th street sometimes that is closed off and you need to go up to 58th street and then drive down the west side of the street You can cross 12 th avenue walking from many streets but the only vechile entrance is at 54th street.

Thanks SMYER for your response. I should have been more specific. I meant where is the entrance for pedestrians crossing the street. Thanks.

I don't know the street # but it's up from the Dawn & directly across from the Intrepid.

You are not limited to just one pedestrian entrance. I believe you can walk in via 50th St, 52nd St and 54th St. Remember that there are several ships in port on the weekends! Very BUSY!!!

I gave you the place where I know there is an overhead, designated walk that you can cross at your leisure regardless of traffic below. Obviously you can cross 12th Ave at any corner.

Actually, we can't tell you exactly which street to go down. Unlike most facilities where each cruise lines operates from specific peirs week after week, the NYC passenger ship terminal mixes it up a bit and ships can end up at different peirs on different weeks.

 

Dawn is generally at peir 88, suggest you come across 48th and then walk the 2 blocks up. This applies only if you're walking, no matter which pier you're going to you will be redirected north to enter the facility if driving in. The port has a good website with directions (for driving) and a calender says which pier each ship is scheduled (not guaranteed) to be at:
