When to book excursions

I did this before but I can't remember how many days before you cruise you can book the excursions. When I go to the personalizer it tells me that they are not available. Is it 120 days before your cruise date?? I'm having a "senior moment":) HELP and thanks:D

Officially it does say 120 days... but for my most recent cruise they were not available to book until 90 days prior. Just keep on checking back. :)

The shore excursions can be as far out as 120 days but more likely at 80 - 90 days. It depends on the itinerary and ports. For our Golden cruise, the shore excursions became available at about 80 days.

Hope this isn't too much of a hijack...can you pay for your excursions ahead of time, or do they have to go on your shipboard account to pay at the end? We'd like to pay as much as we can ahead of time...

What I did-- I booked my excursion then called Princess to place that amount on my cabin credit.. so for me--my tips and my excursions are prepaid.

Ah, so you can put money on your account ahead of time? How early--same as when excursions are available? This is perfect...exactly what I was hoping we could do!

But that is absolutely brilliant! I did not know I could do that either...pre-paying for the cruise entirely, one month at a time, before you even get on the ship!!:D

Have to check into that right away.
