Back on the Boat

How is having a room in the back of the boat? The location seems good for gym, buffet and camp carnival. I wonder how the motion is or noise.

We were right by the aft elevators on the Legend, Panorama deck. It was very convenient for going up to the Lido for breakfast in the morning and from there we'd just walk around until we decided what we wanted to do. It was also a straight shot down to the dining room in the evening. I didn't feel any vibration, some movement and a little noise, but all in all it was a great location. We're trying out our first truly aft cabin in October! Alllll the way aft! :D

I was in Cabin 8223 on the Pride (which is Panorama Deck/Deck 8) aft, right under the Lido deck. Didn't have motion or noise problems, really.

 

A good friend was in U175 on the Fantasy (Upper deck, very aft and middle of the boat [interior aisle]) and only noise problems were engine noises coming in and out of dock.

Maybe back of the boat isn't so bad, just a long walk to the elevators for my mother. My room is fine because I have children with alot of energy.

OK, dumb me - I made an honest mistake. I tend to get nervous when I am posting new threads. Being a first time cruiser isn't easy. But, these boards do make it much easier.

I for one LOVE first time cruisers! Especially when they see everything for the first time. :) BTW, that wasn't a flame, just trying to steer you in the right direction. ;)

We had room 6255 on the Legend close to the aft elevators. It was a great location. My mother had a room right at the back of the ship #6262. It was very noisy on the balcony and there was a lot of vibration in the room, but some people love those rooms.
