EmilyOTR Posted December 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2006 My husband and I are thinking about cruising to Cozumel and Belize either January 14-19, or January 28-Feb 2. I've been seeing Jan temps are like 74 degrees, and that's not as tropically warm as we'd like.....is that what we are likely to get then? Is the later cruise going to make a big difference as far as warmer weather?? Thanks for any help!! Emily
IslandJim Posted December 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2006 We've been experiencing a "northern" in Cozumel the past few days and the temps in the daytime are in the mid 70's as you've indicated. That will probably be temp range in Jan and Feb, but it begins to warm up in March and in July you can't walk on the sidewalk without some shoes or sandals. Cruisers are typically not here at night, but that's when we are feeling the "cold". Tourist are running around here in shorts and t-shirts while the locals look prepared for snowball fights. When you are acclimated to 90+ temps, any drop to the 70's feels like it's about to snow to us, while you who have just left ice and snow think it's like summer. Mark42 Posted December 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2006 We have a forecast of -15 F windchill tonight, so 70 F sounds just about right for me.
