any suggestion for the easiest cheapest and most exciting way to get over to the deer island i have always been told the best snorkeling is over there but i dont want to go with a big tour company

Hola; If you go to the beach at Hotel El Cid you can find a amphibian that goes to the Island on the hour and returns on the 1/2 hour. Reasonable prices.

Thanks Mazatlanmike,

We are planing to go to the El Cid hotel so our

kids could have fun in their pool. But my wife and I

would love to take a side trip to deer Island to get

some snorkling in as well. Our ship (Carnival Pride)

will be in port from 8am to 6 pm. Do you think there is

enough time to do both. Also, what is deer island like?

Thanks again.

Sure, it would be easy for you. Right there at El Cid they have a amphibian that goes to Deer Island on the hour and returns on the 1/2 hour. You can rent snorkeling equipment right their also.

Deer Island has the largest beach of the 3 Islands and the water there is calmer and clearer than most places. Ideal for snorkeling.

Have Fun MazatlanMike
