tineedancer Posted December 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2006 :o Does anyone know what the name of the beach is that Carnival uses for its "Costa Maya Town and Beach Break Combo"? From the picture on the shore excursion details the beach looks very pretty? I was wondering if we could do it on our own? If anyone can recommend a beach that has little seaweed and has a more relaxing atmosphere I would like to hear about it! Thanks So Much, Tineedancer
PawDog Posted December 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2006 Once the ship docks at the cruise port, take a cab to the town of Majahual, about five miles away. Great beaches for swimming, and cheap snorkeling tours available. The Olinca Beach Party has an open unlimited bar for $20.00, per person, which included use of the beach, restroom, and chips and salsa. Good friendly people! Plus, there's a lot of small shops in the town....just ensure you bring cash....USD is fine!

PawDog Posted December 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2006 Does Onlica Beach have chairs and such for the $20 and what about food? The Olinca Beach Party has an open unlimited bar for $20.00, per person, which included use of the beach, loungers, chairs, tables, restroom, kayaks, and chips and salsa. Go to the bar next to the Hotel Mahahual they will give you a wrist band after you pay. It was twenty $$$ when I was there around Nov. 28, 2006. A lunch is around $5.00 extra, but, you should try the Cat's Meow, a couple of doors down for good food! http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p131/Pawdog_album/DSC00055.jpg[/img]"]http://
