How Far In Advance Should You Receive Your Documents

I scheduled a cruise approximately one month ago for sailing of the Pearl on January 14, 2007, and I am just wondering when I should expect to see my documents.

The E-Docs for our January 23rd cruise on the Sun came yesterday. I would call NCL customer service if I were you..... 1-866-625-1166.

We are leaving on the 10th of Jan, and we have not received ours, everyone else has in our party. They got theirs a week ago. MY TA says she has not received them, we all booked together. NCL won't talk with me, says go to TA.

It makes me feel un-important to NCL

 

I have read that you don't need them, BUT I WOULD LIKE THEM!

Sailing on the Dawn 1/7/07- Booked thru a big online TA- Received paper docs by UPS Express on 12/16/06. Some cruisers on our roll call received E-docs 2-3 weeks earlier than us.

I booked my Jan 14 cruise on the Jewel about three weeks ago and I received my documents in the mail from my TA 5 days after I booked.

Sailing on the Pearl on Feb. 2, and received my docs by e-mail on December 1. Earliest I have ever received cruise doucuments.

I'm on ncl/dream leaving 1/13/06,booked gty,just got my cabin assignment today. I'm sure my tickets will be following shortly. I know other people on the same cruise rec'd their tickets over a month ago... You can call ncl ,but I sure hope you have speaker phone. :)

I got mine one week before the cruise. But NCL says that you should call if you don't have them by two weeks before. I called them every day until I received them from two weeks before the cruise until now.

I am sailing on February 16th and I am doing the doc dance TODAY!

 

I would ask your TA to check with NCL, because once they never mailed it and they sent it as a edoc to my TA's office the next day.

this is a fantastic thread! We were just wondering the same question. It appears that NCL doesnt have a general rule of thumb when it comes to sending documents. We dont sail till March, but I still cant wait to see the docs! Happy Sailing.

We're sailing on 1/6 on the Majesty, and we just got our docs yesterday, 12/20. I was getting nervous! By the way I booked directly with NCL.

I'll be going on my first cruise in Feb, so forgive my ignorance. What are cruise documents? I received an email that was a receipt with my room number, but should I be expecting something else?

We are on the Pearl 1/19. We received our documents yesterday 12/20:D

Judyannemt: You will recieve an information packet, things that look like boarding passes with you name/cruise/date etc., itinerary info, sometimes luggage tags, etc.

We booked our cruise for the Dawn (3/1/07) on Dec. 9th and just received our E-docs this morning. I was surprised at how fast they came. We booked through a major online TA.

Sailing on 2/18 on the Sun out of New Orleans with 11 other people. Some of us have received the docs, some have not. I have not, and I want them NOW !!!!!:cool:
