What to do with our luggage

I was wondering... our flight will be leaving from Ft-Lauderdale and we are planning on having a limousine pick us up from the pier to the Ft-Lauderdale airport... our flight is only at 5:00pm... I know that they don't have the lockers available anymore at the airport to store the luggage... Any suggestion on what we could do with our luggage? Can we check them in when we get there?

What cruiseline will you be on? What airline are you flying?

 

Reports are that most airlines that fly out of FLL will only let you check luggage in 4 hours before the flight (for some it's 3 hours).

 

Some cruiselines (RCCL and Celebrity) have a service where you can checkin for certain airlines onboard the ship for a small fee. The cruiseline prints off your boarding passes and luggage tags for you. At the end of the cruise, you just drop your bags off right after you pass through customs and they take your luggage to the airport for you. I know that American is included in this service, but I don't know what other airlines have this service available.

I am actually using Royal Caribbean... I booked my own flight with Northwest airlines... perhaps I should call them and see what can be done!

Have you thought of taking a tour before you fly out. RCCL has a tour of the Everglades and they drop you and your bags at the FLL airport. They take care of the bags while you are on the tour.

I don't believe the service is offered through Northwest. I'm doing an Everglades tour through RCCL before my 4:30 flight in February so you might look into doing that.
