Help with Alaska...

We are trying to decide which ship to book for Alaska this summer. We are a family of 3 (5 yo girl). We are looking at either Serenade or Vision. Serenade sails June 9th and Vision sails August 10th (this is what is available for our requested stateroom category). Those with experience here please advise as to advantages and disadvantages of each ship and time of departure/itnenerary. We have no clue which to do and have both on a 24 hour hold. Many thanks:)

Both are nice ships - similar food etc. (although I prefer the Radiance class ships myself) and the dates of travel are both good.. May be hotter in August and there will be a lot more children on the ship.

 

I suggest u take the best price. Hope its your best trip ever...!!

I have been on the Vision and the Radiance. I would take the Serenade which is a radiance class ship over the Vision. Especially as you are traveling with a 5 year old. The activities and areas for children are much nicer on the Radiance class ships.

Serenade and Radiance are virtual carbon copies of one another...however the Serenade cruises round-trip Vancouver and the Radiance cruises either Northbound or Southbound...very different itineraries. We have done both...be certain you study the ports on each and make your choice that way!!!
