Marfa53 Posted December 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2006 Just got our documents today for our 1/21 cruise. They added an extra E to my daughters name. She is a past cruiser, so not sure how it happened. Do I need to correct this ASAP or can I do it when we check in.
Cruising89143 Posted December 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2006 To get peace of mind, either have your TA contact the cruise line and insure that they have the correct spelling in the system or call them yourself if you booked direct with the cruise line. I have had this happen in the past and it wasn't a big deal to get straightened out.
chasetf Posted December 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2006 I agree... get it taken care of ahead of time. The names on all your documents need to be consistent. It is just not worth the hassle trying to get it fixed while checking in and boarding. ;)
Cotton Posted December 30, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2006 Adding an e to her name is obviously a typo, and would be recognized as such. It's not like it's a major gaffe, and should present no problem at check-in. I, personally, would let it go, as my docs have had a typo once. I did nothing, and it wasn't a problem at all. However, for your own peace of mind, you can call and let someone know.
madhouseinc Posted December 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2006 It would help to get it taken care of before you sail, if nothing else, just to speed the line up - imagine a new cruise employee having to get a supervisor to ask what to do, etc.,
suezyq50 Posted December 30, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2006 You might want to call, just for peace of mind. I was off once by one letter. I called and was told no problem that they do allow for one letter error.
EggDropErin Posted December 30, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2006 I would also vote to get it corrected ahead of time, just in case. I'm a worry wart though. :)
