Tender Ashore ???

We have never tendered at St. Maartin, but we have tendered twice at St. Thomas. I dont know their schedule for tendering, but I do know the cruise lines take turns with this.

We tendered last November.

Even with a young child there are CM's to assist if needed. sometimes it is an easy ramp to step on and then onto the tender boat, once we had a few steps then onto the boat.

They make it as easy as possible because they have hundreds of kids and lots of grandparents too.

The ride is only 5 minutes and it is a very large boat!!! We had our youngest grandkids with us once when we tendered. They were almost 3 and 18 months. CM's held the kids hands as they got on the boat and my hand as well. The same when I got back on the ship.

It is more of an inconvenience than anything. They will take good care of you and your child, they are very safety conscious.

No worries!!!

We docked at both places, on the 10/28/06 cruise. Some of the tendering done in the past may have been related to weather problems, when itirneraires may have been changed, for a number of cruise lines converging on either island. Tendering is generally safe, and children are handled with extreme care, as our the elderly, disabled, and regular passengers. Tendering is not taken lightly, and would not be done in un-favorable conditions. This is my Disney cruise line experiance. Metrowon
